With the Final Four tipping off deep in the heart of Texas on Saturday, BetCarolina.com - home to the most in-depth College Basketball Betting guide - wanted to see which conferences have achieved the most success in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament over the last 10 events.
To do so, we gave each program that made the cut a point each for making the national semifinal and another for winning the whole event for the conference they represented at the time, with the ACC adding to their lofty total thanks to the Duke Blue Devils making the Final Four in 2025.

Which Conference Leads the Way?
From 2014 to 2025 (with the 2020 event canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic), the ACC managed to send 12 teams to the Final Four, with three of those winning the whole shebang, in the Blue Devils in 2015, UNC Tar Heels in 2017 and Virginia Cavaliers in 2019.
That gave the East Coast centric conference 15 points in total, which was five points more than the Big East, which got to 10 points thanks to having six Final Four and four championship teams between 2014 and 2025 on NC betting apps.
Two conferences, in the Big 12 (six Final Fours, two champions) and SEC (eight Final Fours, zero champions), finished in a tie for third place nationally, while the Big Ten rounded out the top five with six points, thanks to having six Final Four participants between 2014 and 2025.
This year, the team at DraftKings Sportsbook North Carolina gives the Blue Devils the best championship odds of the four teams left standing, at +105, ahead of the Florida Gators (+290), Houston Cougars (+350) and Auburn Tigers (+500).
A title for Duke would be the Durham university’s first since 2015, while the Gators and Tigers have a shot at being the first SEC champion since the Kentucky Wildcats in 2012 to cut down the nets come Monday night in San Antonio. The Cougars can join the Kansas Jayhawks of 2022 and Baylor Bears of 2021 as the only teams from the Big 12 to win it all during the period in question.
