Kevin Concepcion Transfer Portal Destinations: Where Will NC State WR Go?

Fact Checked by Jim Tomlin

Another wide receiver has entered the NCAAā€™s transfer portal, as North Carolina Stateā€™s Kevin Concepcion is on the market. Concepcion won ACC Rookie of the Year honors in 2023 and became one of the leagueā€™s best pass catchers.

The Charlotte native saw his production slump in 2024 along with his team, which did not meet North Carolina sports betting expectations and finished the regular season 6-6. Concepcion had 71 catches for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns last season as a freshman, but those numbers slipped to 53 catches for 460 yards and six TDs in 2024. Concepcion will look to start anew in 2025 with another program.

Given Concepcionā€™s potential value amid footballā€™s increasingly pass-first mentality, itā€™s worth wondering where the former Wolfpack star will go next. Thatā€™s why BetCarolina.com ā€“ where you can find the best NC sportsbook promo codes ā€“ broke down some hypothetical odds on which college will land the former three-star wideout out of Charlotte Julius L. Chambers High School.

Where Will Kevin Concepcion Go Next?

North Carolina State is heading to the Military Bowl to face in-state foe East Carolina. The bet365 NC Sportsbook lists the Wolfpack as 5.5-point favorites against the Pirates (7-5 overall, 5-3 American Athletic Conference) for the postseason game, set for 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 28 in Annapolis, Maryland.

Weā€™re going with Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes to land Concepcion out of the transfer portal. The Big 12 stalwarts out of the Front Range, led by coach Deion Sanders, hold +125 odds of landing the former NC State wideout.

These odds were developed by BetCarolina.com and, though NC sports betting apps offer a slew of wagers for college football bowl season, you wonā€™t find these Kevin Concepcion transfer odds with those operators.

The Buffaloes went 9-3 this season, a five-win improvement in Sanders' second season in charge. What might make Colorado even more appealing for a skill player is that Travis Hunter just won the Heisman Trophy, with Sanders unafraid to use his star player on both offense and defense,

We rank Colorado just ahead of Alabama (+155 odds). These odds were updated on Dec. 16, with the Buffaloes and Crimson Tide pulling way ahead of the competition to land Concepcion in our estimation. NC State's ACC rival, Miami is third at +1500. with a handful of others at longer odds.

The Wolfpack entered the 2024 college football season with +650 odds to win the ACC for customers using the BetMGM bonus code North Carolina. But NCSU fell out of the race early and wound up 3-5 in the league, only becoming bowl eligible with a 35-30 victory at rival North Carolina on the last day of the regular season.

Whichever team gets its hands on Concepcion is gaining a player that set a school record for catches by a freshman (71) in 2023. Now he has his chance to go wherever he wishes for his next college stop with the portal open.
