One of the NHLās most valuable forwards is about to hit the leagueās free agency market, as Teuvo Teravainen of the Carolina Hurricanes reaches the end of his five-year, $27 million deal signed with the club prior to the start of the 2019-20 NHL season.
Teravainen was a man-possessed on the ice this year for the Canes, scoring 25 goals with 28 assists in 76 games, while posting a +15 rating for the club in his eighth year in the league, allowing the 29-year-old forward to set a new career-high for goals along the way.
