The Carolina Panthers will be a hot commodity when sports betting in North Carolina officially expands to mobile and online sportsbooks in early 2024, especially if the team makes a Cinderella run to the playoffs.
And after selecting Bryce Young as their latest franchise quarterback, while making other significant offseason improvements to the team, the Panthers now have the opportunity to emerge as serious dark horse in the NFC South, which was regarded as the NFL’s weakest division last year.
Therefore, do not expect backers to shy away, even after their comprehensive rebuilding phase. You can also keep tabs on the Panthers playoff chances here all season.
Methodology
BetCarolina.com utilized Statista’s 2022 “Attitudes Toward Sports Betting” survey of NFL fans with 1,020 respondents to find who currently are the NFL fanbases who claim to be a “sports betting user.”
Note that this is just a sample size of NFL fans who claimed to be a fan of a specific team. The percentage represents how many people are sports bettors out of the sample.

Panthers Fans Will Drive Betting Action in Early 2024
Ironically in a state that does not yet have NC sports betting apps, the Panthers already have one of the top ten NFL fanbases that bet the most, with a sports betting user rate of 5%, tied with the New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons, for 6th on this list.
Despite the absence of mobile sports betting in their home state, the Panthers have amassed a large following of fans that bet on sports. It serves as a testament to the team’s growing popularity nationwide, while proving that the Tar Heel State is eagerly anticipating more legal sports gambling
action. When mobile is fully introduced, expect the Panthers to surpass the Falcons, as Georgia remains far off from legislation.
Interestingly on this list, all three New York teams are present. The Giants have the largest fanbase among sports bettors, with a user rate of 13%. Then, Bills Mafia follow behind with a sports betting user rate of 11%. The final New York team is the Jets, with 5%.
Understandably, the Jets and Giants are on this list for the fact that they play in New Jersey but are marketed as a New York team, which both states have legalized sports betting.
When mobile sports betting officially launches inside the Tar Heel State, keep tabs with BetCarolina.com for the latest news, and don't lose sight of the Panther Super Bowl odds, because you just never know.
